Week four of Term 1
After a big week at camp, Room 2 started week four of school.
On Monday we were lucky enough to have a football training session. In this session we trained with a coach from Coastal Spirit who showed us different techniques and drills.
On Thursday we were treated to a music lesson with Mrs Moore. She taught us about ryhthm by using a fun and interactive game!
On Friday morning we joined junior classes for buddy reading. This was a great opportunity as a class to be leaders and support other learners.
We then enjoyed the school library where we were joined by Charlie the dog. Charlie listened to some stories and spent the afternoon in Room 2!
Some of the student's highlights were:
- "Getting to try the Korean language for the first time" -Paige
- "I thought it was fun starting statistics" -Claudia
- "Working at the library" -Lexi
- "Walking Charlie around" -Aiden
- "Learning Māori in handwriting" - Matias SKa kite anō,

Ki Ora Sarah,
DeleteWe had a great week in room 2! My favourite part was where we did the football lessons with the coach from coastal spirit. I remember when I sometimes played football with a few of my friends at school.
It was also fun with Charlie for the afternoon and at the library!

P.S whats you favourite book?
Hi Alex, thanks for your reply. I'd have to say my favourite book of all time is "Oh The Places You'll Go" by Dr. Seuss. I love it because it rhymes and sounds great if you read it with a nice rhythm but it also has some of the best life advice that applies to a multitude of situations across the lifespan. Even though it's a children's book, it is applicable to people of all ages. Essentially, it is an epic read and I highly recommend it. If you haven't read it, you definitely should. What is your favourite book and why? Have a great day. :)
